Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 November 2026. Mad Guess is a puzzle game made by Playkraft. This explains what the game collects, why, who else handles it and how to delete it.

The short version

  • We collect what the game needs: your sign-in, your username, your puzzle results and whether you subscribe.
  • We also record how the app is used and when it goes wrong, with PostHog, so we can fix and improve it.
  • There are no ads and no advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app.

What we collect

  • Your sign-in. Before you sign in, the app gives you a guest account with a random ID and nothing else. When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an ID for your Apple Account that only Mad Guess can use, and the email address you choose to share, which can be a private relay address if you use Hide My Email. We also keep a token from Apple, encrypted, so we can remove your Sign in with Apple connection when you delete your account.
  • Your username and friends. The username you choose, your invite code, your friends, your friend requests and anyone you block. Other players can find you by your username, and your username and weekly score appear on the leaderboards they see.
  • Your games. Which puzzles we've given you and when, whether you solved each one and how many wrong guesses it took, your streak, and when your free puzzles reset. The app also sends your device's time zone so your day starts at your midnight. We use it for that and don't store it.
  • Your subscription. Apple takes the payment, so we never see your card or payment details. We keep whether you're subscribed and until when.
  • Sign-in sessions. So you stay signed in, we keep a scrambled copy of each session's token and when it was last used.
  • How you use the app, and when it goes wrong. The app records when it's opened, when you answer a puzzle and whether you got it right, when you solve one, when you buy or restore a subscription, when you send or accept a friend request and when you share a challenge or a trophy. It also sends reports of errors and crashes, and short notes about what it was doing, such as failing to load puzzles. Our servers send reports when something fails there too. These come with basic information about your device, such as its model, system version and language, and the app's version. As a guest they're linked to a random ID the app makes. Once you sign in, they're linked to your account's ID and username, never your email address.
  • Technical data. Like any internet service, every request reaches our servers with your IP address and basic information about your device. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the game and block abuse, and we keep short-lived request logs to fix problems.

Your progress, settings and sign-in details are also saved on your device, with the sign-in details in its secure storage. Streak reminders are scheduled on your device too. We don't send push notifications.

How we use it

  • To run the game: give you new puzzles, keep your streak, connect you with friends and show leaderboards.
  • To apply the free daily limit and unlock Mad Guess Unlimited for subscribers.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.
  • To understand how the game is played, so we can find what goes wrong and improve it.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who else handles it

These companies process data for us, only to run and improve the game:

  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple and handles App Store purchases. Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
  • RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives your Mad Guess account's random ID and your App Store purchase records, and tells us whether you're subscribed.
  • Cloudflare hosts our servers, our database and the puzzles.
  • PostHog collects the usage data, error reports and notes described above, and shows them to us. It also receives your IP address, which it uses to estimate your country and city.

We don't share your personal data with anyone else unless the law requires it. These companies may process data in the United States and other countries.

How long we keep it

  • Your account's data stays for as long as you have the account.
  • A guest account is deleted about 60 days after it was last used.
  • Expired sign-in sessions are deleted every day.
  • Usage data, error reports and notes at PostHog are kept for up to a year.
  • When you delete your account, we delete its data straight away. Database backups can hold a copy for up to 30 days.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Account and tap Delete Account. That deletes your account and everything linked to it from our database, deletes your record at RevenueCat, removes your Sign in with Apple connection and asks PostHog to delete the usage data and error reports linked to your account, which PostHog finishes within two weeks. You can also ask us to do it by emailing support@playkraft.app.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it first in Account, under Manage Subscription.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by emailing support@playkraft.app. Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and California, you may have more rights, such as objecting to how we use your data or complaining to your local data protection authority. We reply within one month.

If you're in the EU or the UK: we use your data to provide the game you asked for. We also use it to keep the game secure and working, and to understand how it's played so we can improve it, which is in our legitimate interests.

Children

Mad Guess isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email support@playkraft.app and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
